Not only is Adrian our local firefighter, he's also one of the best adventurers in our region. When he's not putting out fires and rescuing people, he's out in nature canyoning or running 100km races. He also volunteers his time running the orienteering club events and assisting with other endurance events.

The SS City of Adelaide wrecked in 1916 on Magnetic Island after being gutted by fire, the remains have now been taken over by mangroves. Creating new ecosystems through wreckage of ships is truly a beautiful sight. It's possible to walk out to the wreck at low tide.

Wallaman Falls is a spectacular sight to see and only a couple hours north of Townsville. The Waterfall is notable for its main drop of 268 metres which makes it Australia's tallest single-drop waterfall. The pool at the bottom of the waterfall is 20 metres deep.

The Paluma is truly something special and the best thing is it's only one hour north of Townsville!
